Pisa and Lucca

Today we left Cavi around 9 and drove an hour to Pisa! We had 1 ½ hours of free time to see the leaning tower and the cathedral. The Leaning Tower of Pisa was very crooked looking, but I know it won’t slide into the earth anymore! We took cliché pictures of pushing the tower back; it was all good fun! I thought the cathedral was even more impressive, partly because I’d never seen a church with the gold designed ceilings. From Pisa we drove to Lucca, another popular tourist destination, but right as we got there it began to pour and thunder for the next hour. We got out of the buses anyway, and we got soaked! The rain cleared eventually while I was in a pizzeria with Crash, Johnny, and Laura. The pizza in Italy is not overrated- I love it! When we were done in the restaurant, the sun was shining, and we got some gelato to eat before it was time to get back to the buses. We then drove about 2 hours to Florence where we are spending one night. I can’t believe EuroTour is almost over!
