On Friday I had lunch with my second host family,
the Haiders. This was my first real visit since I switched to my final family,
and it was good to catch up on everything. I explained that everything was
going well both with my new family and my injury. After lunch Edith and I sat
on the porch in the backyard, ate ice cream, and talked about exchange related things.
Conversation comes so easily with her; I miss those chats! After a great visit
there, I walked to the swimming pool and swam a few laps. The swimming is
amazing and my stroke isn’t affected too much by my knee.
Then the rest of the weekend I did a lot of juggling
(I gotta make up for all those lost practice hours from the last 2 months!) and
spent time outdoors. Today I even rode a bike for the first time since December! My knee is becoming much more flexible. There is a lot to look forward to though and EuroTour is
in just 2 ½ weeks!
